Open Letter to a College Student to Encourage Confidence in Scripture

4 pages

Written to a college student whose Bible course or textbook may treat Scripture as only human thought, this letter urges, “Please, stay on the high ground.” It gives reasons for confidence in God’s Word: its consistency, fulfilled prophecy, historical accuracy, reliable manuscripts and a canon already known in Jesus’ day. It asks what the Lord Jesus thought, warns of undermining ways such as unstated premises and exaggerations, and urges a personal relationship with God through faith in Christ.
